Merrill Brink International Receives ISO 13485:2003 Certification and ISO 14971:2007 Registration

Addition of new ISO standards to Merrill Brink International’s quality management system emphasizes company’s ongoing commitment to the life sciences and medical industries

St. Paul, Minn. — Merrill Brink International, a leading global provider of language solutions for global companies, today announced that it has been granted ISO 13485:2003 certification and ISO 14971:2007 registration for its technical translation and desktop publishing services for the life sciences and medical industries. Together, these two standards establish the framework for quality and risk management systems for life sciences and medical organizations.

ISO 13485:2003 is a quality standard that requires an organization to demonstrate its ability to comply with customer and regulatory requirements. ISO 14971:2007 is recognized as the best process to ensure that all hazards are identified, evaluated and controlled and also to monitor the effectiveness of these controls. Merrill Brink has applied these ISO standards to the translation and desktop publishing of technical documentation for its life sciences and medical clients.
