Sales Manager
We are currently looking for sales/business development manager to cover the Ireland, UK and Northern Europe. In order to be successful in this role it is important to have a software or localization sales background, selling into manufacturing, medical/life sciences, automotive, software and IT, financial or consumer goods verticals. Position requires strategic lead generation as well as continuous development and maintenance of current accounts. This role will suit someone who is self-sufficient and has a hunter mentality.
This role is part of the European Business Development executive team and reports to the Vice-President of European Business Development. Teamwork, travel and the meeting of targets are a requirement.
Qualifications, education & experience:
Candidate must to be educated to degree level, preferably MBA, with a preference for a degree in a computer technology or engineering field. Must have proven corporate account sales experience and success with a consultative approach, at the Fortune 2000/enterprise account size. Experience of selling software localization services is desirable, while experience selling translation services is a major plus. Candidate must be organized, self-directed and dedicated to spurring company growth. Must enjoy professional social interaction and the challenges of a competitive industry.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Proven large business-to-business (corporate) account sales success
- Knowledge of consultative sales concepts and strategies, with significant demonstrated experience and account wins
- Possesses a broad working knowledge of information technology
- Knowledge of large contracts and proposal process
- Ability to analyze business opportunities, develop effective sales strategies and close business
- Ability to develop account and territory plans to achieve penetration and grow revenue
- Ability to conduct effective presentations to all levels of clients
- Excellent computer skills, including use of spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail and word processing applications
- Experience selling to industry verticals including financial services, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation
- Considered a consultant to his or her clients
We would expect the successful applicant to demonstrate exceptional people skills as well as the proven ability to manage large accounts, negotiate at senior level and work well under pressure. The ability to travel frequently is a must for any applicant.
